Sun International in association with luxury champagne brand, G.H.Mumm, recently held an announcement launch party for the Official Sun Met 2018 at the Grand Africa, Cape Town and being invited to this auspicious occasion was an absolute blast. I’ve included some details of the night with the stars and what to expect from s2018’s festivities below!
Good To Know
The spectacular evening hosted by the beautiful Shashi Naidoo (Tounge in Cheek SA), had an array of suprises including guest speeches by the Marketing Directors of both Sun International and G.H.Mumm, who addressed the theme for next year and shared the news that Usain Bolt will be joining as special host for the event; to entertainment by Flamethrower & light artists and a special performance by an in-house band and DJ. Some popular faces in entertainment that attended the exclusive launch evening included Expresso Show’s , Leigh-Anne Williams & Katlego Maboe. Cameron Van den Burg also made an appearance and so did former Miss SA , Tatum Keshwar and GoodLuck band. Popular Cape based influencers, Lee Fraser, Just Jade Blog, InstaAlyssa & FashionistaCT also showed face with some of the hottest designers in the nation, David Tlale and Imprint ZA.
What to expect
With tickets in high demand for the event taking place on 27 January 2018 at the Kenilworth Racecourse and the theme being ‘Style ahead of the Field’ with Afro-chic inspiration, there’s nothing other than to get ready to celebrate in true style as the Sun Met with G.H.Mumm guarantees the finest in Africas horseracing heritage, style and entertainment.
An A-list lineup will soon be announced and tickets can be purchased via www.ticketpros.co.za and at the reception area at the racecourse, which prices vary according to seating area. General access trickets include access to all public areas and the grand stand as well as access to the official afterparty and two betting tickets. The VIP area includes access to shaded areas and food & drink offerings plus the afterparty and much more.
