Valencia Harrison Designs x Villa Bridal Boutique

On 30 April 2019, Valencia Harrison Designs launched their ready-to-wear bohemian bridal collection in collaboration with Villa Bridal Boutique.

Valencia Harrison Designs

Although Valencia Harrison, the founder and designer of Valencia Harrison Designs, has been in the bridal design industry for 16 years, it was only about 2 years ago that she decided to open her own boutique in Cape Town.

Since then, Harrison’s simplistic elegance has filtered through in her designs and VHD has become a household name in Cape Town’s thriving fashion industry.

With architectural influences and the love of textures in fabric, every bride and party are sure to find something unique.

Harrison x Chauke

Harrison and Nzwaki Chauke (founder of Villa Bridal Boutique) met when Chauke was a co-owner of the Eves Bridal Boutique in Johannesburg, while Harrison worked in the same boutique in Cape Town. By the time Harrison wanted to expand her reach to an in-store location in Johannesburg, Chauke had opened Villa Bridal Boutique, which has now become VHD’s second home.

Chauke is excited about the collaboration as the need to import dresses, which has turnaround-time and costs implications, is now less of of a concern.

The collaboration also allows more freedom for Chauke’s customers who may benefit from VHD’s skills that will ensure that their dream gown, if not already made, may be be realised.

JHB Launch

The VHD launch took place on a beautiful Tuesday evening in Johannesburg. With the gorgeous Susana Kennedy as the Master of Ceremonies; breathtaking décor ensembled by Vuyo Varoy and sponsorship from the Deetlefs’ Wine Estate, the evening will surely be remembered.

Guests (clientele, close friends and family) were graced with three sets of a runway showcase that gave just enough insights of what kind of bridal wear will be stocked at Villa Bridal Boutique.

Drinks and finger foods were served while background music allowed guests to relax and interact casually (with one another and, of course, the beautiful garments on display!).

Elegance, beauty and talent are apt descriptors of the event, Harrison and Chauke. We wish them well for their business venture ahead!
